New Painting: Shines Like Silver – Gouache & Acrylic on Paper

I finished up my painting inspired by my experiences at Float On! You can read about my first and second floats in earlier blog posts.

“Shines Like Silver”, 8″x8″ gouache & acrylic on paper © 2011 Lesley Atlansky

Prints available at Redbubble. I’ve given it to the folks at Float On for their purposes…when I get it back I’ll list the original on ArtFire. The title is taken from the song Aliens (Christmas 1988) by Rheostatics. Bonus! Can you spot the Barenaked Ladies in the Rheostatics video? How about the line of the song that is the title for another painting of mine?

As promised, I have a picture of my finished cake topped with Sculpey Delorean time machine. Think I have a chance with my Ace of Cakes application?

I was following the cake posts and it certainly did turn out GREAT. I love the “flames” trailing behind the car.
