The Show is Up at Jazzkats!

I got up bright (well here in Portland it was dark and rainy) and early on Saturday to hang my paintings at Jazzkats Coffee Bar. I’m sharing the space with artist Joni Yates. Our work couldn’t be more different – she has huge, striking, black and white pieces – and the contrast is really nice.

Most of my paintings are in the cozy corner…my favorite spot to sit and watch people come and go.

And a couple more…

I forgot to bring something to hold my business cards, so I improvised with a couple of nails! They seem secure there…hopefully they all don’t tumble out.

If visiting my art in person wasn’t enough of an incentive for you to head on over to Jazzkats, how about this: the coffee is outstanding, the food is delicious (vegans! they can feed you!) and Whitney and staff are super friendly.

Jazzkats info: located in the Hollywood District at 1925 NE 42nd Ave., on the corner of 42nd and Hancock in the U.S. Bank parking lot. They are open Monday through Friday: 7am-6pm, and Saturday: 8am-5pm.
