New Gouache Painting – “Drifting”

I’ve got so many experiments and unfinished paintings, I forgot what it is like to see one to completion. I’m happy to share my latest piece!

"Drifting" - 8"x10" gouache on paper, Lesley Atlansky, 2013.

A bit of a departure from the last few I’ve done, where I’ve tried to leave a lot of white space. This time instead of using wax paper to manipulate the paint, I used plastic wrap. It is a huge pain to work with, but it left some really cool designs. I also got to use my new hot pink paint. Oh la la!

Here is a little detail shot of the lower right corner of the painting:

Original is available on Etsy! Don’t forget I’m in the middle of my summer sale, so all items in my Etsy shop are 15% off through 7/31. Just a few more days left! Use the code SUMMER15.

As always, prints (paper and canvas) and cards and all that good stuff available on RedBubble. RedBubble gives some great previews, so you can see what you’ll get before you buy.
