Today is the day Oregon gained its statehood! I kind of love that it happened on Valentine’s Day, because I really love my adopted home state. I can’t believe that we’ll have been here 20 years this summer.

We moved here in the summer of 1995, and I remember there being quite a few thunderstorms. The clouds were so dark and hung so low in the sky it felt like you could reach up and touch them.
I’ve been fascinated with our ever changing sky ever since.
